WHO ARE WE Since its establishment, the mission of the Divača Cave Society “Gregor Žiberna” has also been to take care of the tourist development of the Divača Cave. We take this work as a duty, as the association bears the name of the first candidate and lifelong guide in the Divača Cave. Immediately after the founding of the association, in year 1965, first plans were made for the restoration and arrangement of the demolished entrance to the Divača Cave and the revival of cave tourism. Two years later, in 1967, the society already organized a tour of the Divača Cave, where Joško Žiberna, grandson of first explorer was taken. It was already in it in year 1926, when it was run by a relative Gregor Žiberna - Tentava. The first thorough arrangement of the entrance began in 1974. You can read more about the operation of the association on the association’s website.
